Q&A
We already have fire detection.
Keep it. IHTC does a different job. Your fire detector answers "is there a fire?" IHTC answers "where is heat building, and how fast?" continuously, with location, for maintenance and early response.
It monitors — it doesn’t put anything out. So what?
The value lives in the window before an alarm needs sounding. Because IHTC is separate from your fire alarm, it can flag abnormal heating far earlier than any alarm threshold, a heads-up that costs a ten-minute walk-down, not an evacuation. Its dry contact relays can also interlock your own equipment controls as equipment protection: stop a belt, de-energize a charger. And every quiet day, the log builds the documentation your insurer values.
Will this lower my insurance premium?
That’s your underwriter’s call, and we don’t promise premium changes. What we provide is the documentation that supports the conversation: continuous monitoring records, alert logs, and a thermal report.
Who owns the data?
You do. All of it, regardless of what you decide after the pilot.
Is IHTC listed?
For supplemental monitoring, no listing is required, because this layer sits alongside your code-required systems, not in place of them. The fire-signaling version of this technology is under evaluation to ANSI/UL 521 / CAN/ULC 530 (8th Edition) now, and pilot customers are first in line when it lists.
